Academia Latina

The main goal of Academia Latina (www.academia-latina.com) is providing professional private Spanish tuition. The combination of volunteering and donating combined with Spanish language classes distinguish Academia Latina from other language schools in Latin America.

 

Check out the information about the visa. You need a TV (Visitante temporal) visa and a letter of invitation. Without visa you cannot study in Colombia.

Teachers

All teachers have excellent skills, an university degreeandthey are licensed for teaching. Theyhave experience with teaching adults and most of them speaka little English. They are all Colombian residents and live in Taganga or Santa Marta.

To bring about professional and committed teachers, we train them well and provide them with up-to-date study material to make their classes dynamic and interactive. To give professional classes we provide an inspiring and fully equipped environment.

Taganga

Taganga is a great place to study Spanish. It’s a very authentic and relaxing fisherman’s village, with beautiful beaches, at the Caribbean coast of Colombia. It’s located 10 minutes by minibus from Santa Marta. Taganga welcomes every year many tourists, but still remains unspoiled. A must go for every traveler in Colombia!

Family stays

Academia Latina can provide her students the possibility of home stays at local families in Taganga. The home stays includes 2 traditional meals and a private room with a van. The bathroom is shared. The families don’t speak English, so it’s a good way to improve your Spanish! Not available in high season.

After-school activities

Furthermore, our students have the possibility to participate in interesting after-school activities, like free salsa lessons, excursions to Santa Marta, bike tours, excursions to local beaches, cultural visits (Museo del Oro, Casa Indígena).

 

Academia Latina works together with local enterprises in Taganga and offers special deals for scuba diving, tracking in the jungle or mountains, trips to other cities and to national parks with gorgeous unspoiled beaches.
